Squadable and Spond
Spond is free and well suited to clubs and youth sport, with strong payments, a club admin tool (Spond Club) and good support for parents. Squadable is aimed more at organisers running regular sessions who want the teams picked for them.

Squadable and TeamSnap
TeamSnap is a long-established platform that is strong for youth clubs and leagues, with registration, team admin and family contacts. It is US-led, and UK teams take online payments through its PayPal-based Classic Payments.
